The Technical Cell looks after all the common equipment facilities of the centre, which are also open to the external users on a pay per use basis. These include a range of state of the art facilities for materials preparation and characterization and cover a broad spectrum of research in physics, chemistry, biology, and nanoscience and technology.

At present the major facilities include thin film deposition techniques, electron and force miocroscopies, x-ray diffraction and reflectivity, magnetometry, ellipsometry, a range of thermal analyses, light scattering and spectroscopy.
